The reporter learned from Jiangsu Postal Administration that in the first half of this year, the proportion of packaging materials purchased and used in Jiangsu Province that met the standards reached 96.7%, the proportion of packaging operations according to specifications reached 98.7%, the number of recyclable express boxes (boxes) reached 1.137 million, and the number of recycled corrugated boxes reached 49.578 million.
"At present, the utilization rate of electronic face sheets and the coverage rate of recycling boxes for packaging waste at outlets have reached 100%, and 98% of e-commerce express mails have not been repackaged. The size of electronic face sheets has also been reduced, and the tape width has been narrowed to 45 mm." The person in charge of Jiangsu Shunfeng introduced. Nanjing Post also took advantage of the peak of campus parcel delivery in the college graduation season, and made full use of the postal campus delivery service point to carry out a return to the box activity in 11 colleges and universities, including Nanjing Normal University, Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and Nanjing University of Information Engineering, recycling more than 500 corrugated boxes. Suning, Shentong, Yuantong and other brand enterprises also actively implement the industry's ecological and environmental protection work through technical means.
At the same time, Jiangsu Postal Administration organized and carried out the special action of green governance of express packaging in 2022, continued to strengthen the inspection of ecological and environmental protection law enforcement, inspected 1042 postal express outlets in the province, and investigated and dealt with 7 ecological and environmental protection violations such as excessive packaging in the first half of the year.
At the same time, Jiangsu cooperatively promotes industrial ecological and environmental protection construction. From 2021, we will promote the construction of green outlets and green distribution centers, build 150 green outlets and 10 green distribution centers, and actively support express parks with significant green development achievements to apply for provincial demonstration logistics parks.

According to the State Postal Administration of China, as of the end of September, 90% of the industry had purchased and used packaging materials that met the standards and standardized packaging operations, 9.78 million recyclable express boxes (boxes) had been put into service, 122000 recycling devices had been set up in postal express business outlets, 640 million corrugated boxes had been recycled, and the green governance of express packaging had achieved preliminary results.
The State Post Office also needs to promote packaging recycling, and encourage delivery enterprises to improve the recycling rate of express packaging by setting functional modules in their APPs and introducing incentives; Strengthening supervision and administration and administrative law enforcement.
However, the green governance of express packaging still has some problems, such as the legal standard system covering the whole chain has not been established. In the next step, the State Post Office will strengthen supervision and assessment to ensure the successful completion of the set goals by the end of the year. Focus on four aspects of work:
First, we should focus on the control, comprehensively strengthen the control of excessive packaging of mail and express, implement the national plan for plastic pollution control, and ensure that by the end of 2025, postal express outlets nationwide are prohibited from using non degradable plastic packaging bags, plastic tape, disposable plastic woven bags, etc.
Second, we should be realistic and pragmatic to promote recycling, steadily promote the large-scale application pilot of recyclable express packaging, and promote packaging recycling.
Third, we will continue to strengthen supervision, seriously investigate and deal with violations of laws and regulations such as excessive packaging, steadily promote the reform of the way in which supplies and appliances are regulated in the postal industry, and accelerate the construction of a monitoring and analysis platform for green governance of express packaging.
Fourth, we should work together to jointly govern and manage, strengthen departmental coordination, implement responsibilities and responsibilities, and focus on publicity.
