As the Double 11 Festival is approaching, pre-sale has been opened, and the express packages of consumers are also in a "ready" state. Hundreds of millions of express packages are about to fly to thousands of households. With the green production and life style deeply rooted in the hearts of the people, the major express platforms have launched initiatives based on the concept of green and low-carbon, advocating green consumption and leading a green and low-carbon life style, so that express packages can be green!
For example, Tmall announced to comprehensively upgrade the green venue, presenting "more green"; JD announced the upgrading of its "Green Plan"; Novice promoted the upgrading of nearly 100000 post stations across the country to the "box returning plan"; Suning E-shop joint enterprises have increased multiple subsidies.
The "Double 11" should not only be a "shopping festival" that has set off a consumption boom, but also be a "big stage" for promoting low-carbon environmental protection concepts and green consumption lifestyles. Especially some time ago, the State Post Office said at the regular press conference in the fourth quarter of 2022 that by the end of 2025, the use of non degradable plastic packaging bags, plastic tape, disposable plastic woven bags, etc. will be prohibited in postal express outlets nationwide.
The traditional express plastic packaging bags will gradually be introduced to the historical stage, while the new degradable express bags will become new packaging bags to protect your express packages. The biodegradable express bag is green and low-carbon!
Is it difficult to promote degradable express bags?
At present, the plastic express tape made of polyethylene (PE) is widely used in China (PE material of express bag is divided into new material, semi new material and recycled material), which has low cost, convenient use and excellent waterproof performance. Returning to the problem of price and quality, degradable materials are not superior in terms of price. In terms of quality, degradation and performance should be taken into account, and a large number of late research and development are also required.
However, it is a gradual process to achieve the green consensus in the industry. Taking the straws and plastic bags that began to be banned as an example, there are also various difficulties in the promotion process. However, after more than two years, the use of disposable non degradable plastic straws and packaging bags has decreased significantly, while the use of degradable products has increased significantly.
Degraded express bags have come first
As early as 2016, Newbie "Green Action Plan" launched degradable express bags: 100% degradable express bags have been produced, which are made of PBAT modified resin, mainly composed of PBAT and PLA. It has been used by Taobao and Tmall businesses.
It is understood that Jiangsu has been comprehensively promoting green express packaging since 2019. In 2021, Jiangsu issued the implementation opinions on accelerating the green transformation of express packaging in the whole province, and formulated and implemented the Implementation Plan for Industry Ecological Environment Protection in 2021. In early October this year, Jiangsu Branch of China Post invited public bidding for the procurement of degradable packaging bags.
During the "Double 11" period last year, Yinzhou Post Branch of Hunan Province configured environmental protection packaging boxes and tapes in 264 outlets and 8 investment departments in the city, and set up 76 environmental protection recycling devices. Although it is just a small adhesive tape, it is only a part of China Post's degradable packaging project, and degradable plastic packaging bags were also launched together.
Technology of degrading express bag
The production process of express packaging bags includes: mixing, film blowing, printing, glue spraying, bag making and finished products.
1、 Mixture
The required raw materials are fully stirred and uniformly mixed according to a certain formula through the mixer. According to the different needs of customers, study the material ratio, put the required raw materials into the mixer for mixing, and ensure that the mixing is uniform.
2、 Blown film
Debug the film blowing machine and put the mixed materials into the machine hopper, but the colored materials will be suitable for the material color first, and will be formally produced after being stabilized. At this time, pay attention to the thickness, size, color, corona treatment and other details of the materials.
The film blowing machine is used to heat and melt the plastic particles and then blow them into a film. The speed and blowing ratio shall be well controlled during film blowing.
3、 Printing
Use the printing machine to print words and patterns, cover the wet plastic bag on the upper part of the printing plate, press the printing plate and paper through the printing machine, and transfer the ink from the concave part of the printing plate to the bag. Avoid flying ink when printing, and check whether the multi color ones are out of position.
4、 Bag making
The bag cutting machine shall be used to cut the blown membrane bag. When cutting the bag, attention shall be paid to whether the sealing edge is firm, whether there is a reason (too hot, excessive melting glue edge), and whether the cutting edge is neat.
There are "standards" to follow
According to the national standard GB/T 38727-2020 Packaging Plastic Film and Bag for Full Biodegradable Logistics Express Transport and Delivery, the express bag made of the bag needs to have high strength, meet different load bearing requirements, the tensile strength needs to reach more than 20MPa, and the puncture performance needs to reach more than 2N under a needle with a diameter of 1mm.
The forming cycle of express bags is complex. It takes 4-7 days to complete the whole process of film blowing, printing, and side sealing. It puts forward high requirements for the long-term side sealing performance of materials. The side sealing can be completed after at least 7 days of film blowing, and the side sealing is firm. The side sealing strength is ≥ 15N/15mm, which will greatly expand the time window from film blowing to bag making.
